The sounds of South America in the streets of Kazan

Being in Kazan city and walking over Bauman's street - the main pedestrian street, I found a group of musicians playing the melodies of the Andes and pampas.
They were one of the numerous strolling musicians from the South America. It was hard to say what country they were from, but the magic melodies and colorful dresses attracted the street walkers. I also stopped to listen their playing and make some pictures of this people.

Monmartre. Part 1. The faces.

It seems there is no necessity to talk much about the Monmartre. It is the landmark of Paris, the place where spirit of past days, years, and centuries still in the air. It is the place of artists, musicians, poets and writers, lovers, tourists and locals, and those who like old Paris and his history. And when you walk over the place you always meet people - they are all different - young and old, funny and sad, curious and ordinary. And all they together bring some unique charm to this magic place.

A walk over Kazan Kremlin

Kazan city is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, in Russian Federation. It locates right near Volga River and is one of the oldest cities in Russia. In 2005 it celebrated its 1000 anniversary. Recently Kazan city had granted an official brand as the "Third Capital" of Russia. It is one of the cities with rich history and where people of various religions live in peace.

One of the remarkable and historical places in Kazan is the Kazan Kremlin - the complex of history built by Russian tzar Ivan the Terrible on the runis of the former castle of Kazan Khans. In 2000 it was recognized as the World Heritage Site

Statues of the Museum of Orsay

Paris is one of the most tourist-visited cities over the world. One of most visited places in city are its museums - starting from the most famious like Louvre to the small private or with limited colection. 

The Museum of Orsay (Musée d'Orsay) locates on the left bank of the Seine River and is housed in the former Gare d'Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900. The museum holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1915 and holds paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography. The major exposition is the collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the world, by such painters as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, Seurat, Sisley, Gauguin and Van Gogh. 

But the museum is interesting not only with its collection. Just in front of the enter there are some statues that attracts your attention by their monumentality, beauty and reality in details.

The picture of a part of Absheron peninsula (Azerbaijan) was made from helicopter by  Mr. Farid Khayrulin - the well-known photojurnalist, photoartist and advertising photographer from Azerbaijan.
The picture reflects the results of anthropogenic impact and the oil production upon environment.

From summer into winter. The Glacier 3000

Switzerland is small Europe country that can be truly called as the "touristic paradise". The green valleys, the Alps, waterfalls, toys-like small highland villages and clean comfortable towns and cities, perfect infrastructure, pubic transport and so on. All these attract people from over the world.

One of the places I visited during my last coming to Switzerland, was the Glacier 3000 - the highland glacier with summit at 3210 m (Diableret mnt.), located in place of Gstaad, Bern Alps, and touristic complex where aerial cabin cars, hiking trial, ski run, chairlift are available nearly all seasons.

Iron lady's laces

Every year thousands of tourists visit Paris and, of course, one of the main items in "what-to-see" list is the Eiffel Tower. They make pictures with tower at the backstage, or "holding it in arm", they can wait for hours just to climb the tower and see the city. But very few of them throw back head and get a view of webs of the metal constructions the tower is made of. I call it the "Iron Lady's Laces".
